Principal and owner: Sallie K. Riggs
Consultant in communications and management, providing services in strategic planning and meeting facilitation, functional assessment, public relations and publications, fund-raising support, and marketing. Formerly a senior level executive at several nationally recognized non-profit organizations.

Sallie Riggs has more than 30 years of nationally recognized experience in communications and management. Most recently, as CEO, she successfully lead a new non-profit organization from part-time pro bono staff to a fully functioning, fund-raising and service delivery organization that earned local and regional media recognition and broad community support.

Her organizational management projects have included strategic planning, meeting facilitation, process re-design, functional assessments, project management, community and media relations assessments and implementation, and search assistance.

Riggs has edited an award-winning magazine and her articles have earned recognition from Atlantic Magazine. She has prepared text for marketing materials and written speeches, proposals and reports, grant requests, position papers and policy statements, direct mail copy and press releases. She has prepared PowerPoint presentations and has designed brochures, newsletters, and annual reports.

Also a publications production manager, Riggs has worked with writers, designers, and photographers to produce new publications, including a book, and to re-design existing annual reports, magazines and newsletters.

A graduate of Brown University, Riggs has continued her education through courses in marketing at Boston University and workshops in fund-raising, publications, public relations, and institutional development.

Riggs staff positions have included President & Executive Director of the National Marine Life Center, Director of Communications at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Vice President at Brandeis University, and Associate Vice President at Brown University. She has served as an Associate in the Kaludis Consulting Group based in Washington, DC and as an independent consultant.

Her community activities include Board member and Clerk: Cape Cod Stranding Network, Inc., Bourne Financial Development Corporation, Inc.; Board member: Buzzards Bay Village Association, Housing Assistance Corporation, Rotary Club of Bourne/Sandwich; Member: the Bourne Committee, Main Street Revitalization Committee; former Board member: Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Cape Cod, Cape Cod Economic Development Council, Cape Cod Center for Sustainability, Cape Cod Children's Museum, YWCA of Greater Providence, RI.

Riggs' professional activities include lecturer and workshop leader at many national professional conferences; articles published in several journals of national professional organizations; presentations to numerous community and private clubs.
